This is a wonderful devotional! Every day I feel as if my eyes have opened a little more in regards to my husband. If you feel your marriage could use a some help or simply a new perspective you will love this book. I purchase both the husband & wife version and my husband who is A new believer has found it very helpful and easy to read (English is his second language)All in all, I would highly recommend this book, along with its other half to bring you and your husband closer to each other and closer to God.
This is a great study so far, though a little simple and basic. But it does give me good ideas on how to be a godly wife, which is its purpose. I would say the only thing that would make it better is if the author went into more detail on her subjects and what Scripture says about them, maybe add more questions to make the reader think about what they are learning. Otherwise, I think she is doing a great job!
Obviously this devotional is written for wives. The author focuses on the good things intended in marriage while agreeing that it isn’t easy. I appreciated that she covered marriages where both are Christians and when only one of the partnership is a Christian. I also felt she backed up her statements by taking each lesson back to the scripture.This devotional focuses on what a wife can do to encourage, love, and support her husband. Each day the devotional beings with a scripture verse (or a few actually) followed by the thoughts or a story from the author that support the theme of the daily lesson. There is a prayer from the author as well as a personal challenge and an area for journaling. Each day includes a little status update for Twitter for those that want to connect on a social level.As I read through the book, I kept thinking this was pretty basic information. And then it hit me, maybe this is what so many women need early in their marriage. Marriage doesn’t come with a manual. Not everyone has close women friends that they can turn to for help or training. So while I thought this was simple in the approach, I found the scriptural points right on target.Hebrews 5:12 kept popping in my head….You have been Christians a long time now, and you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things a beginner must learn about the Scriptures. You are like babies who drink only milk and cannot eat solid food.While this devotional it is written for women of all ages and marital stages, I would recommend this more to newlyweds, younger wives, or new believers that are looking for a foundation study on marriage.Overall, I enjoyed the book. I would recommend it to newly married women. I would also recommend it be done in a small group setting instead of alone. Marriage is hard, there are no easy answers and I have found through my experiences; that having women at all points along the path to be important when questions and concerns arise.
Thank you Jennifer and Aaron for writing such beautiful prayers for the wives and husbands to speak over one another. Really a blessing! Although the book may be meant to go in order, I have found the different themes allow me to jump around and pray certain prayers as different circumstances arise in our lives.
This is our GO TO wedding gift! It is also our Christmas gift to all of our siblings and closed friends! Must read and re read and reread until you're living your life according to the scriptures!
Wife After God-- in my personal+humble+forward opinion>> A MUST, for those preparing for marriage, for those newlyweds, and for those who are seasoned wedded love birds! Whether or not your marital bliss is strong, or wearing thin-- Jennifer brings to light what the Bible says regarding marriage-- & Christian living (in marriage)! James 3:8 was a scripture reference at the intro of this devo book && that verse has stuck with me more (it used to be just a verse that I knew the general verbatim, but now I recall the reference and the verse!)! I like the personal prayer at the end of each day! The social media hashtag is great for those that want to share a snippet of their devotional, too! The Q&A/"journal" at the end of the devo for each day is so relevant and not just a "how does this make you feel!"!! Although I have just started this devotional, I am looking forward to continuing (not just through the 30 days, but re-reading it again!)!!!

This devotional is very unique in that it provides you with great scripture, a relevant and inspiring passage written by the author, a great daily prayer, and daily challenges all for each entry! This has really helped me grow and helps remind me of how to pray for others.
